Continuing the development of the product, Polarwall has trialed its new R-Wall. The R Wall allows the insulation to one face of the wall to be removed and replaced by a cement fibre finish or just bare concrete. The project involved a three sided garage that didn't require insulation to the internal face. Using the 251mm thick concrete core (the garage was retaining an earth bank), the walls were poured without problem.
Polarwall see the application of the R-Wall in underground basement garages, or for the internal face of swimming pools.
Although work is being done to refine the product, the concept of exposing the concrete will enable thermal mass to be exploited with Polarwall.
